Cover the unexpected at home and beyond.

Review belongings, accidental damage, personal liability and the sums that fit your household.

Start with three questions

01Do you rent or own your home?

02What would it cost to replace your belongings?

03Do you need cover away from home?

UNDERSTAND BEFORE YOU COMPARE

The details that change your decision.

Start with the essentials, explore the trade-offs, then compare written terms for your situation.

Your belongings and damage to others

Household insurance protects selected losses to your belongings; personal liability responds to covered damage caused to other people or their property. They solve different problems. Estimate replacement costs for furniture, clothes and equipment, then describe household members and everyday activities accurately.

Check theft locations and valuable items

Compare cover at home and away, including whether simple theft outside the home is an optional extension. Ask about bicycles, electronics and jewellery limits, proof of ownership and security requirements. Replacement-value wording does not remove sublimits, deductibles or exclusions.

Moving, renting and sharing a home

Check rental damage, lost keys, borrowed objects and which people are insured. Property owners also need to distinguish household contents from building cover. Review the insured sum after a move or major purchase, and compare accidental-damage options against the cost you could reasonably bear yourself.
