Pillar 3a in 2026: check the allowance before choosing a plan
Understand tax savings, bank and insurance solutions, investment exposure, fees and the flexibility of your commitment.

For ordinary 2026 pillar 3a contributions, the maximum is CHF 7,258 when you are affiliated to a pension fund. Without a pension fund, the allowance is 20% of eligible earned income, up to CHF 36,288. Count your contributions across all your 3a arrangements, rather than treating each account as a separate allowance.
A tax deduction and a suitable savings plan are two different questions. Compare access to your money, investment exposure, charges, insurance cover and contribution flexibility. The Clearwise calculator compares ordinary income-tax estimates; it does not decide which product fits your situation.
If you live outside Switzerland or pay tax at source, verify your deduction route before assuming a saving. For Geneva’s quasi-resident route, at least 90% of worldwide gross income must be taxable in Switzerland; married couples include both spouses’ incomes. Eligibility alone does not establish that a full ordinary assessment will be favourable.
